A cheap & easy meal to entertain the little ones.
A healthy alternative to this generation’s homemade “dirt” includes vegetables, starches, and a little white lie. After a heated debate, we’ve decided to keep bugs in the recipe.
Nutritional Values:
Multiple vitamins such as A + K, folic acid, & fiber.
Copper, selenium, pantothenic acid, & ergothioneine.
Supports healthy immune & cardiovascular systems.
• Baby bell mushrooms (small amount)
• 1 can of Brown gravy
• 1 White onion
• Pepper
• 1 can of String beans
• 1 package of gummy worms (3)
Ingredients:
1. Prepare string beans
2. Slice onion into bits
3. Make gravy & let simmer
4. (Slice &) sauté mushrooms
5. Place 3 gummy worms onto a plate at random
6. Place string beans in a circle on the same plate
7. Add gravy to the middle of circle
8. Place onions & mushrooms into the gravy
9. Add a small amount of pepper & do not stir
10. Serve.
Directions:
Vegan? Substitute brown gravy for vegetarian brown gravy*
The idea here is to hide the gummy worms so that the child being served must finish the meal before uncovering them to eat last. If they’re still a bit iffy about trying the dish, tell them that they are the same muddy puddles that Peppa Pig™ either eats or jumps in. If that still doesn’t encourage the little one, you should allow them to watch the series while eating it.
